Hougang Care Centre is a psychiatric rehabilitation centre of Singapore Anglican
Community Services (formerly Singapore Anglican Welfare Council), dedicated to helping people
with mental illness re-integrate into independent living within society. It is the first
rehabilitation centre in Southeast Asia to employ the Clubhouse model for the
purpose of psychosocial rehabilitation.
Dr. Balaji Sadasivan, Minister of State (Health and Environment), officially opened the centre
on Saturday, 9th November 2002.
